Burberry has successfully shed its’ "’good girl’ image of conservative plaids and preppy gear, and is fully entrenched in its’ new glam, ultra chic style. This Spring 2012 collection was created around the theme “handcrafts: crochet, beading, carving, weaving, and braiding” and the result was anything but crafty. The details are fine tuned and look like they were done by a master artisan. The bags reflected the theme with tightly woven leather and raffia, beading and crochet details, and a palette of colors. I adore the satchel with the woven plaid inset, and the color block raffia bags are perfect for the season. The Burberry handbag collection for next Spring 2012 is among my favorite.
