It seems that picturesque summertime in a small town in southern Italy circa the 1950's was the designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s, theme for much of their Spring 2012 handbag collection. The eggplants, zucchinis, tomatoes, and hot peppers you'd find at an outdoor market inspired the duo, as well as various pastas and even the wicker baskets which carry the goods home. In a much smaller part of the collection there are lace and crochet flap bags that lend an air of elegance to the collection.
